Rev. Gary Moore
Gary Moore, and his wife Sally, have served as
ambassadors for Holy Spirit empowered renewal to the
Body of Christ since 1982. Gary is recognized as an
anointed teacher, author and leader with a passion to
ignite a fire in the hearts of people so that they might
walk in their full potential as followers of Jesus
Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
From 1989 to 2009, Gary served as the Executive Director
of Aldersgate Renewal Ministries (ARM), an affiliate
ministry related to the United Methodist General Board
of Discipleship through the Upper Room. During his
watch, ARM expanded greatly beyond its annual national
conference on the Holy Spirit (called Aldersgate).
ARM now over-sees the Lay Witness Mission, Venture in
Discipleship, Life in the Spirit Seminars, Lord Teach Us
To Pray, Pathways to a Praying Church and Worship in
Spirit and Truth. It also offers retreats for pastors
and spouses at its Goodlettsville, Tennessee location,
where three “cottages” are also offered for weary
pastors and other pilgrims.
Gary is ordained as a Deacon in the Tennessee Conference
of the United Methodist Church with a professional
certification in evangelism.
Gary and Sally have been married since 1963 and live in
the Nashville, Tennessee area. They have two daughters
and eleven grandchildren. Part of their Christ-centered
family testimony is that they share a Tennessee hilltop
with 4 generations of family.
